2017 Cabernet Franc Reserve
Gold Medal winner at the San Francisco Chronical Wine Competition in January 2024. It competed in the $50 plus category .
Tasting Notes
A bold, full bodied, savory expression of Loudoun County terrior. This wine has developed beautifully and is showing notes of black plum, blueberry, black pepper, clove and cedar.
Can be aged for at least another seven years but drinks like a dream now. We recommend decanting or aerating the bottle at least 30 minutes before drinking.
Technical Notes
The Cabernet Franc was aged for two years in French oak barrels, of which 15% were new French oak barrels. The wine is 85% Cabernet Franc blended with 15% Tannat.
